Sixth Form Life
Future Schools Trust Sixth Form is a welcoming environment where each student is supported in a manner to suit their individual needs and preferences.
As a Year 12 or Year 13 student, a typical day will not solely consist of lessons and study sessions but it will also involve assemblies and tutor time, which provides us with an opportunity to seek further advice and guidance. We are also encouraged to play an active role in the Student Voice committee, where we plan exciting events and share our ideas.
Many of the events we hold are designed to raise money for charities, such as Children in Need activities and the annual RAG (Raising and Giving) week. Another popular event is the Year 13 Prom, which gives students the opportunity to dress up for the evening and celebrate their hard work, whilst reflecting on their wonderful Sixth Form experience.
Students are treated in a mature manner, which leads to the development of good relationships with teachers are staff. We are supported with all of our academic needs and are rewarded frequently for our hard work.
As Head Girl, one of my roles is to ensure that everyone is involved in the community, which each senior team has achieved successfully year in, year out. For me, the best part about the Sixth Form is that the staff are always open to new ideas and are ready for change. If a student has an idea, then they are confident to share it with the leadership team.
Overall, Sixth Form is a fantastic place to achieve academic success, develop social skills and prepare for life ahead.
