New Headteacher Appointed for New Line Learning Academy
After an extensive and rigorous interview process, we are delighted to announce that Paul Murphy has been appointed as the Headteacher of New Line Learning Academy (NLL) from September 2017.
The current Interim Headteacher, Jane Hadlow, will stay in post until the end of the academic year and provide transition support alongside Paul until September. We will not be distracted from the continuing improvements within the school nor the support for our current Year 11 and their forthcoming exams.
Since joining NLL in January as an Interim Deputy Headteacher, Paul has worked closely with the academy’s community to implement and oversee a number of changes, which we hope the school community will agree have already had a positive impact for both students and staff.
He brings a wealth of experience to the position, including expertise gained from his role as a Lead Ofsted Inspector and as a Secondary School Improvement Advisor, which will be of great benefit to NLL and Future Schools Trust.
Mr Murphy said: “I am delighted to accept the role of headteacher at New Line Learning Academy. During the five months I have been at NLL, I have gained a real insight into the unique community spirit the school works hard to maintain. There is great deal of potential here at NLL and with continued hard work, determination and enthusiasm, I believe we can achieve the success our students deserve.”
Joshua Coleman, CEO of Future Schools Trust, which oversees NLL, said: “Paul's appointment is a positive step for New Line Learning Academy and I am confident that Paul’s skills and expertise will help the academy move closer towards its goal of providing an outstanding education for the young people in its care.”
NLL’s Chair of Governors, Nick Whitfield, added: “New Line Learning Academy is fortunate to have Paul join the team at this critical time to help us build a strong and vibrant education community that will focus on the achievements of the children within the school."
