About the School Council
By Mason Dadson
In 2015, we joined the Student Union and the Student Commission to create a new student body, simply called the School Council, which will incorporate three different strands;
Academic: This will focus on the different subjects offered at the Academy and explore ways to increase their profile amongst students who are picking their GCSE and A Level subject options. We will also be looking at ways to support students in their subjects.
Charity: This strand is focussed on raising money and awareness for the Academy’s nominated annual charity. During this academic year Cornwallis are fundraising for the Kent Air Ambulance.
Community: This will focus on aspects that will benefit both the Academy and wider community. To continue previous work in this area we will be running another Summer Fayre. This group will also collaborate on projects with the newly formed PTA.
